When:  Monday-Friday (June 28-July 2, 2010) - FRIDAY JULY 2  IS FILLED ALREADY. 
 
Shifts:  Morning, Afternoon, or Evening (Mon.-Thurs).  Or do both morning & afternoon with break.
 
WhereThe OASIS Community Center in Samoset (3124 17th Street East, Bradenton 34208)
 
Who:  Dentists and their Assistant (working under the  Fla. Dept. of Health volunteer program).  If you are a Florida licensed dentist or dental assistant, we invite you to come partner with us for half a day, a whole day, or an evening.
 
Patients:  Those adults and children six years old and older who have met the Florida Department of Health guidelines for neediness and have been screened/scheduled as appointments by Woodland volunteers
 
HowThe "Mobile Dental Unit" is a fully equipped, state of the art dental office on wheels.  All supplies and equipment are provided.
 
Liability:  You will work under the Sovereign Immunity granted by the Florida Dept. of Health for volunteers working with those who are at or below the 150% poverty guidelines.  Details at the Web link above.  Dentists will sign the Fla. DOH's VHCPP Contract Application we will provide (as would a hygienist working as your assistant since they are licensed too.  Regular dental assistants--like all other volunteers--would fall under the DOH 110 Volunteer provision).
