In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead.You see that his faith and his actions were working together and his faith was made complete by what he did. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not faith alone. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
Our Mission: To be the hands and feet of Christ, by putting our faith and compassion into action, to serve the people of Cleveland, Tn.
The need here is to come and serve by lending a hand to help restore some homes to livable conditions. So, as we take our faith and compassion and put it into action may we be the servants that God has called us to be and answer a need.
Another part of the week is to provide not only a mission opportunity, but a summer camp experience as well. In addition to our daily mission work we have a couple of nights where we will attend worship and celebration led by the worship leaders at Ocoee Outreach. Our camp activities are going to include visiting a swimming hole (called the Blue Hole) which I have been told is awesome (if you like to swim). We are also going to include a night of paintball, and culminating our awesome week we will be going Whitewater Rafting along the Ocoee river. This week should be an awesome and exciting week to have fun, serve, and fellowship.

Where will you stay?
All the kids on the trip will stay at the local hotel Mountain View Inn. Included with that is breakfast every morning and Ocoee Outreach provides lunch and dinner. There will be three people and one sponsor/chaperone to a room.
How much?
$400 per kid – This includes lodging, meals on the way up and back as well as meals during the week. We will be doing fundraisers so make sure you get involved.

Fundraisers:
As of right now we have Upward Basketball and Soccer concessions. Upward Basketball has games every Friday night and Saturday morning from Jan 22. – March 13th. You need to sign up and let Laura know that you want to help raise some money for your trip. Upward Soccer games will start in April and we will let you know when you can sign up to help.
Oher fundraisers that we will run are Chic-Fil-A, and the Coupon Books. Please be attentive and sign up to help in order to be included with the fundraising.
