Where Is Uptown Baptist Located: Uptown is a Southern Baptist Church located just 4 miles north of the heart of the Windy City, and just 1 mile due north of Wrigley Field. In fact, we have walked to Cubs games on R & R time. We have had a partnership to come along side them since 2004.

It is a very diverse area with people from all over the world living there. 30 years ago Southern Baptists purchased an aging historic church building from a dwindling congregation and planted Uptown Baptist Church to share the Good News and God's love with the Uptown neighborhood. Back then, the homeless and hurting were about all that lived in the notorious Uptown neighborhood. But times have changed rapidly. In the past 15 years young adults and families have moved in and make up the majority, but have no church.
